Athens – between antiquity and avant-garde
My name is Jordanis Theodoridis. I am a cultural mediator and former gallerist with more than 20 years of experience in the contemporary art world. Having grown up in Switzerland with Greek roots, I combine international perspectives with a deep passion for contemporary art, history, and cultural exchange.
On my tailor-made art tours, I accompany art collectors, art lovers and groups with an interest in culture behind the scenes of the contemporary art world: to studios, galleries, museums and project spaces, as well as to private encounters with collectors, art dealers, curators and artists.
At the same time, the ancient history of Athens provides a continuous backdrop that deepens our understanding of the present.
Each trip is individually designed, professionally curated and personally accompanied – characterized by exchange, discovery and cultural depth.
The program covers antiquity, Byzantium and the modern era, but above all contemporary art in museums, galleries and collections.
Walks starting from the tourist centers enrich the experience of discovering Athens directly and unfiltered. Gastronomy is also part of this experience: from authentic tavernas to selected restaurants that reflect the character of the city.

Since 2017, I have been leading art tours to Athens, Berlin, Paris and Venice, opening doors for my guests to the local art scene. Thanks to my fluency in several languages (Swiss, German, German, Greek and English), I create connections between people, places and artistic perspectives. Since 2020, my professional heart has been in Athens – with a clear focus on Athens as a destination.
